Poticha

Year: 2010
Origin: France
Director: François Ozon
Actors: Catherine Deneuve, Gérard Depardieu, Fabrice Luchini, Judith Godrèche.
Genre: Comedy
Length: 103 min.

What is it:
In the seventies, a rich bourgeois must take charge of the factory family after a strike. Robert Pujol, her husband, ran the umbrella factory with an iron hand and treated his employees the same way despotic his wife Suzanne and their children.

What I found?
Continuing the style of his previous work "8 Femmes", the director François Ozon adapted another play with aesthetic seventies (not just the setting and costumes, but also by the tone, music and colors) that follows marital conflict, infidelity, parent-child relationships and power struggles within a wealthy family.
César nominated for four awards (Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress Best Adaptation, Best Costume Design), "Poticha" is a nice comedy, light, colorful, exaggerated and theatrical, which smells like old times, where it boasts a great Catherine Deneuve (who reunited with the great Gerard Depardieu).
